Thank you for being here.
2026 INVESTEC EASIES · SHORTLISTED
30 seconds to help give maternal & prenatal health a global voice.
If you are a parent—or if you’ve ever held the hand of a loved one facing a high-risk pregnancy—you know the quiet, terrifying weight of waiting for scan results. Clinical benchmarks show routine 2D ultrasound still misses up to 50% of structural fetal anomalies at baseline. I’m Nina Abide, founder of FetalFirst. I built FetalFirst so no family or doctor navigates that diagnostic gap alone.

Reaching the Top 10 is the essential first step—placing this mission directly in front of the executive judging panel, decision-makers, and institutions to bring maternal health out of the shadows and earn our place on the global stage at Davos.

Why I’m building FetalFirst
In 2019, a delayed detection during my son Nathaniel's scan exposed how fragmented prenatal care can be. When a complex condition arises, scan images, genetics, and clinical records live in completely separate hospital systems—leaving clinicians and parents navigating severe medical uncertainty and decisions under intense time pressure. I built FetalFirst to bridge that exact software gap.
What FetalFirst is building
We develop multimodal medical intelligence that catches abnormalities early, fusing scan imaging with genetics to give doctors and parents clear, trusted answers when every minute counts. Doctor 'Verify & Sign' review gates are central to our design. No integrated bedside platform currently unifies scan imaging and genomic variants in routine care. What happens after the public vote?
Public votes determine the Top 10 finalists in each category. The finalists advance to the executive judging panel, and category winners are invited to join the official OPUS delegation to world leaders in Davos.
Two TiE founders. Two categories. You can support Nina Abide in The Future of Health and Anusha Iqbal in The Future of Services. Select both before submitting your ballot: one vote per person per category.
